Krishan Bhatia Appointed to Newly Created Role of
President & Chief Business Officer;
Josh Feldman Named Division’s First Global Chief Marketing Officer;
Tom Winiarski Elevated to President of Platform Monetization
New Appointments and Expanded Roles Further NBCUniversal’s One Platform Vision
REMOTE WORKSPACES ACROSS THE GLOBE — January 25, 2021 — NBCUniversal’s Advertising and Partnerships division today announced that it has promoted three members of its executive leadership team. As part of the continued evolution of NBCUniversal’s One Platform vision, Krishan Bhatia will become President & Chief Business Officer, Josh Feldman has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer, and Tom Winiarski will take on the role of President, Platform Monetization. All three of these executives have been instrumental in driving radical transformation across the organization and accelerating NBCUniversal’s leadership standing across the industry.
Effective immediately, Krishan Bhatia has been elevated to the newly-created role of President & Chief Business Officer. In addition to leading the Strategy, Partnerships, Product, Technology, Measurement and Operations functions for One Platform, Bhatia will now have oversight and budget responsibility for Digital & Advanced Advertising Sales, as well as Account Services. Further, Bhatia will play a key role in building out a NBCUniversal’s new enterprise-wide data and identity platform, under Linda Yaccarino, NBCUniversal’s Chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships. Through these efforts, Bhatia will continue to accelerate NBCUniversal’s transformation to become the leading Global Advertising Platform.
Additionally, Josh Feldman has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Feldman will serve as the division’s first global CMO. He will continue to oversee the Creative Partnerships team, and will now add Trade Marketing to his group. This move will unify all marketing, creative, production and commerce efforts within the Creative Partnerships structure. Feldman will be responsible for driving how NBCUniversal’s Advertising and Partnerships division shows up in the marketplace, leading creative executions that span Upfronts and industry-first events. He will also continue to oversee NBCUniversal’s development of an innovative suite of commerce solutions, and further the company’s commercial innovation commitments.
Lastly, Tom Winiarski has been named President, Platform Monetization. As the leader of the Advertising and Partnerships division’s Planning and Monetization practice, Winiarski will oversee the continued transformation of the organization and help mobilize the entire Sales team’s go-to-market efforts around One Platform. In this elevated role, Winiarski will drive NBCUniversal closer to an all-audience future, working closely with the technology teams to further automate systems and leverage One Platform to create more value for clients.
Bhatia, Feldman, and Winiarski will continue to report into Linda Yaccarino, Chairman, Global Advertising & Partnerships.
