Across the country, there is a strong desire to return to community. And at heart of all communities, are the small businesses that bring people together. But for small business owners today, how to reopen safely and rebuild stronger is a big question.
At Comcast NBCUniversal, we’re seeing firsthand how companies across every industry, in every corner of our country, have had to transform the way they do business to meet changing consumption habits, while also keeping their communities and employees safe.
It’s the reason why we are providing our partners the resources they need: from keeping customers connected, to developing critical resources and grant programs for Hispanic-owned businesses, to waiving content and commerce technology fees to help retailers reopen sooner.
And, it’s also the reason, we’re proud to join the Stand for Small coalition with American Express, and a growing group of companies, by introducing a new Marketing and Creative Services Assistance Program designed to meet the evolving needs of the small business community.
With NBCUniversal joining Stand for Small, we are complementing Comcast Business’ commitment to providing productivity tools and insights that connect businesses and their communities, while building on the company’s broader promise to support small businesses owned by people of color impacted by COVID-19.
We also know that great advertising drives business results. But small business owners need more: more resources, more guidance, more support, and more access to marketing toolkits. This is particularly true for communities of color who are disproportionately experiencing the effects of the public health crisis.
So, we are taking a step forward and creating an open marketplace for small business owners:
- Connecting entrepreneurs with creative services: Our new assistance program will make it easier for selected businesses to access NBCUniversal’s award-winning consultative, creative, production, technical, and commerce expertise locally and nationally. We encourage minority-owned and operated businesses to apply.
- Providing productivity tools to keep business moving forward: With free access to business applications across the technology industry, entrepreneurs can more easily stay connected to their customers and their communities.
- Sharing insights that inform: Whether it’s tips from CNBC’s experts, best practices for figuring out finance, or success stories that inspire, small business owners now have a dedicated resource that will answer the questions they are asking today.
Even if you’re not running a small business, we all know and love one that can benefit from the resources Stand for Small provides. Together, we can all create a path forward.
